One moment, you're passionately defending your point, and just when you think you’ve won— BAM!— you have to flip and challenge your own argument. It’s fast, it’s unpredictable, and it’s the ultimate test of quick thinking and smooth talking!

EVENT SPECIFIC RULES:

• This is a solo event where each participant must present both sides of the argument.

• Participants will receive the topic only 10 minutes before the debate begins.

• Each participant will be allotted 3 minutes in total. The switch between FOR and AGAINST will be indicated every 90 seconds by the moderator.

• A bell, buzzer, or hand signal will indicate when participants must switch their stance. Failure to do so may result in penalties.

• Participants will be evaluated based on: content & argument quality, fluency, spontaneity & flexibility, persuasiveness and time limit.

• Participants must maintain decorum and refrain from using offensive language or personal attacks.

• Your ability to think critically, adapt, and persuasively present contrasting viewpoints will be tested.

GENERAL RULES:

• The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

• Participants must report 1 hour before the event starts. Latecomers may not be allowed to participate.

• No refunds will be given under any circumstances.
